Hey guys - I have a 67 convertible that we are converting from a Powerglide column shift to a TH350 console shifter. The floor pans are currently out, so it seems like a great time to address any linkage issues, etc.
Here's the question: Where can I find a drawing or any documentation showing the proper location of the console/shifter base (distance from some fixed point on the firewall, for example).
I guess I could just set the seats in place & then put it wherever it looks right. Any ideas?
Thanks for any help.

Get a factory assembly manual for 67. Its a good starting place.

hey jerry,
Did you get this info yet?
If not let me know and I'll get you some measurements.
I did mine last week and a very special thanks to James Hinshaw for letting me take pictures and measurements from several cars that he is restoring at this time.
James is a first class guy and knows Chevelles.

Fishman -
No, I never got any real information. Just eyeballed it with seats in the car. Having trouble making new shifter/console/floor pans all work together - think I may have the shifter off by an inch or so. Any pictures you might have would be a great help - thanks.
I've been off working on floors & trunk pans for the past few months; sorry I haven't checked the site.

Hey guys,
Did anyone ever get some kind of measurements?
Or any pictures?
I've been searching the site for a while but can't find any previous thread.
I have a 66 that I am trying to decide where to put the auto floor shift.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
