No they did not . A lot of the auto parts stores did the boring of the blocks / turning cranks and cylinder head work . One time I picked up a set of fuelly heads that just had a valve job . And I just about died to see they were cutting brake rotors next to the finshed heads . Well I went home and marked and removed all the valves cleaned all the metal dust out of them and put the back together ! NOT GOOD :noway:

Anybody know what engine that was?? I was of the impression that the only billit V8s being made where Top Fuel jobs as they do not need water jackets (most Top Fuel blocks are forged to get them into a shape a bit more like a block and save many hours of milling time. Top fuel heads are all made from billit, lower class cars where they need a water jacket are cast, then machined on a CNC machine similar to what we saw.
