Hello,,I picked up a 69 SS chevelle,lots of pieces missing..It has a manuel stering box is this common on a SS or has someone replaced it ,any information on this let me know thanks

It's probably more uncommon than common but I would think being an SS wouldn't have anything to do with it.

My grandather had a 69 SS when I was a very small child. It had manual steering. I think he bought it in 1970 so I am pretty sure it was factory original.

My 69 SS came with manual steering. Power Steering was an option, not included in the SS package.
