Snow is something you watch fall, when it gets to 1 inch you stay home from work, then watch it melt the next day.

No winter storm in Kansas City (YET)

I'll let you know Sunday Rick, thats about the anticipated arrival of the heaviest part of the storm here by us.

Here you go Rick, this is 4 hours into the storm. Supposed to snow for nearly 24 hours straight according to the local weather. I took this picture about 4:30 this afternoon, at 11:30 this afternoon I could have cut my grass yet.

No. No snow here yet, just ice.... Almost broke my neck going out the front door this morning.

Forecast say rain showers tonight and tomorrow, but I am pretty sure that it will be ice.

Thanks JEFF: Looks nice. Just like a winter picture on a calender. I just came in from doing the driveway . BY HAND!! Our blower took its last ride last yr. We have 4 in at 6:30 p.m. saturday evening. Nothing to get excited about. Plus my buddy next door. Yelled at me for doing my drive. Said he was going to do it after dinner. With his truck & plow. Told him he can do the rest in the morning . After the plow goes by!! Thanks again Jeff

Should give those guys in Cali and Florida and idea of how hard it can snow anyways. When I took those pictures we had about 3-4 inches and it is showing no signs of letting up. The local weather said once the snow stops the sleet and freezing rain will fall on top of it, then it will suck.:(

Looks like I won't be taking that Sunday AM drive tomorrow morning. Expecting snow all day, mixing with sleet and (hopefully) changing to rain by nightfall. But it's below freezing here. Guess it depends which way the wind blows.

All but the skinny part, I used to be, then I quit smoking. I used to smoke easily as much as Dale gribble does as well. Not bald yet, but the hat never leaves my head, I feel naked without it. :D

Something I've alway wondered about;
Do the guys that wear hats all the time do it to cover up their baldness OR did wearing hats all the time cause their baldness.

I very seldom wear a hat just in case it's the later. :D

I figure my hat is causing my hair to thin out. My father in law always says grass don't grow where the sun don't shine! I recently read an article in Mens Health magazine that says wearing hats does not cause hair thinning or baldness, but I used to have really thick hair, and my dad never wore a hat and he passed away with thick hair, so I think it does. I don't wear a hat because of thinning though, I just have always wore a hat, now it just drives me nuts to not have a hat on. I don't really care about baldness anyways, I figure if the worst thing that happens to me is i go bald, then I am in pretty good shape. Their are so many worse things that could happen.

Me & my dad were putting up a portable shed to store the chevelle in...probably the only crazy people outside working in the freezing cold during the snowfall & freezing rain. Sucks not having garage space...if it could only fit in the house...

Oh wow!! Big storm! They said 8 to 12 inchs of snow yesterday. Last night I measured in 3 spots. 3 MAYBE 3 1/2 inchs tops. Which in my case is great. But all this hipe on the big storm!!! never fails! Now watch they predict 3 inchs and will get a foot of this stuff

You need to live right off of a great lake if you want snow.:)

Im awake Don figured since the L78 was away for the winter that might be your winter ride.

Just cleared another 3" from the drive tonight.... (after spending 2-1/2 hours getting home on what should've been a 1 hour drive!... man are there some idiots on the road... or should I say off the road and in the ditch - and the other ditch wannabe's slowing down to 3mph to gawk).
It's still coming down pretty good. By the time I was done with the drive, another 1/2" had piled up where I started.

IMO our "Alberta Clipper" turned out to be an "Alberta Misser".

Man, I love when it snows! We dont get a whole lot here.......every few years we might get a big snow of 6-12". Were supposed to get 2" today on the grass only......We'll see.
