I'm seeking experience and recommendations for a cam. Here is where I'm at. 454 .30 Over, stroked to 489, 10.3-1 SRP's, 6.385 H Rods, Edelbrock Rect. Port 118cc heads, Comp Magnum .080 pushrods, Weiand X-celerator single plane, 950HP with Billet baseplate & metering blocks, 6AL, Hedman 2" full length headers, 3" exhaust, 4 speed, 4:10 rear and 29" ET Streets. I'm currently launching at 4000 shifting at 5800, through the traps at 5200 104 mph with the current 396. I believe I want a power range of 3000 to 6000 rpm with pump gas. I live 6 miles from the track with weekly grudge racing. Which I drive to. I also show the car at local cruises at 15 - 20 miles away. I want to maintain streetabilty. I also have a Comp 294S on hand. Use it or what? Thanks in advance. ;) ;)

IMHO, I would run the old CC 294S b/c your longer stroke will tame it down some!!

I would normally recommend that you call UDHarold at Lunati's and ask him for his recommendation!! But I like the solid you have since you already have it..

I put the CC 282S in my 496 and it is just a great big tow-truck type motor pulling max. Hp at 5500 and max. T at 4500 rpm per D2K..

I built mine for midrange grunt though, that's all....
