Oh, come on. I'm only 34. Bought my car w/o engine, tranny, hood, trans, or wheels. It was an old drag car w/ late '70s firebird/transam interior and some really re-arched springs out back (makes my chevelle in my sig look like a lowrider).

the engine in the pics was a 283 bored to 301 with 11.5/1 pistons, a wicked crane cam, weind manifold and a holly carb. Had a powerglide with a B&M kit in it and 4.11 Zoom rearend.

Well, apparently the extra two years makes a difference. The first post says "from the eighties or earlier". In 89 I was starting my Freshman year in high shool. I dont know about you but at 14 years old, none of my friends had cars.

Here's a picture of my first car though. 71 Malibu, 307 Powerglide with 192k on it! Got it in the mid ninties for the outrageous price of $1300! :D

http://i9.tinypic.com/7xtvali.jpg Well my first real car was a Chevy 63 - 327 - 4 spd bought late 1965. The rod a 34 Ford with snot high school kid at 17 behind the wheel in 1963. Look at the size of the generator on that 283 Zeeez - fun days though.

This picture was taken in 1977 of my first chevelle is was black w/white stripes and had a 396-375hp L78 4spd 410 posi. and NO power steering with that small steering wheel. It was a real workout trying to pull into a tight parking spot.

these are all really nice pictures you guys, i really love them all they look soo old worldly, wish was 18 in 1970, i would've begged my dad to death for an LS6 cran berry finish. :yes: now i'm really sad :(
