I have a 67 Elcamino that originally came with a SB but now has a 396, it has a flex fan which I want to get rid of and go to a stock setup with a clutch fan, the problem is the fan sits low in the shroud, there is 1/2" at the bottom and 2'' at top, I know the fan shroud is correct it still has the Year One tag on it, My question is if it still has the SB motor mounts and stands would that be my problem or do I have the wrong radiator? It is a 4 core which I would think would be for a BB, there is no way I can put a stock fan on it is bigger than my flex fan and would hit the shroud at the bottom, also I have only about 1/2" between oil pan and crossmember. Any help would be appreciated!
