What should I look for on this wagon? I am looking for a daily driver. Let me know what you think.

I think this would be a better choice ;)

Obviously, look for rust... Floor boards probably easy to fix (all '66/'67s use the same floor panels, so easy to find).

Lower portion of front windshield (cowl area), notorious for rust, and IF rusty, then water will leak onto you feet (and the floor).

Most weatherstripping, glass and interior panels are reproduced, so not hard to find, if needed... Suspension/drivetrain are the same as other Chevelles...

Big things would be wagon-specific trim and rear bumper... The rear bumper is Wagon/Elco ONLY, NOT reproduced, and generally hard to find even a decent core...

Frame is wagon-specific, but interchangible with Elcos... Watch for rust.

Brian,

I like the car, just not as much as my other projects (so it will probably sit for years before I really get to it)...

I PM'd you...

Anyway, watch for the front brakes too. These (67/68) discs have a reputation for leaking calipers, and I think they are pretty expensive to resleeve the calipers... Pretty sure the spindles are unique (can't just swap the newer calipers).

Brian,
I found my 1966 wagon on Spokane Craig's list and it has less rust than the ones I saw in the Portland and Seattle areas. It was worth paying to haul it home.

Driving a 1000 miles is way easier than replacing panels. Plus the comfort in dealing with a Team Member that is being honest about the cars condition is a big plus.
I have traveled across the country to bring home projects, I even went to Canada (http://www.chevelles.com/feature/april2001.html) a few years back for a 64 SS. Met some great folks and had some memorable experiences.
