I was thinking about building a custom fuel injection setup with a firend for his camaro out of a torker 2 intake, new 24# injectors, a 4 barrel throttle body by a place who makes them, and all tied in with a FAST management system. Now i know this is alot of money and why wouldn't i just buy a Holley setup, Well i just like the idea of doin it yourself stuff and if anyone could help me with how hard this project would be and expalin to me how i would drill for the injectors...

I've had a couple of Super Vic and Vic Jr. manifolds converted as you said for EFI. Works great, but I never did the injector placement part myself. Force Fuel Injection (http://www.force-efi.com/) gets $375 for the bungs and new fuel rails fitted. The guys I've seen do them have used a mill to get the angle and placement correct. Can't just pop them in unless everything is in the right place. I don't think I would attempt that part of it. By the way, I've also had very good luck with the FAST setup.

Not at all in my opinion. It was on a 406 though. They don't act exactly the same when they only meter air in EFI.
As I remember it made about 470 rwhp and 460 rwtq (at 4500 rpm) with a 10.25:1 91 octane pump gas combo.

Not a big deal but you need access to a brideport ideally. Can tig the bungs or JB weld but tig is a better idea. You'll need to either machine fuel rail extrusion or buy machined rails. The machining of the rails is the most difficult part.

That 406 putting out those numbers on 91 octane, it wasn't naturally aspirated right?

Matt Yes it was. Really good heads (fully ported Iron Eagles) were the key in my opinion.
