Hi All,
I just purchased a Highway 15 Wiring Harness from American Autowire. I went with the Highway kit instead of the plug and play kits based on the fact that I am starting from basically scratch on a 65 Chevelle, and it was a couple hundred cheaper.

Anyone had any experience with the Highway 15 or 22, or have any advice on the job I have ahead of me (like tools needed)? I searched the forums and found very little specific info.

Thanks for your time and help.

brad i see no one has answered your post but i have just about finish the highway 22 system in a 70 el camino. most of the wires match what the wire dirgram has in the book which made it easy to place. the only problem i ran into was wanting to use the stock dash instead of aftermarket gauges. im not sure where u plan on mounting the fuse panel at but on the el camino i had to mount it behind the seat as it wouldnt fit under the dash. right now the only lose wires i dont have hooked up is the horns front lights and the elec. fan but the cab and rear lights r all done.

Hwy 15 kits is normally considered on a T-bucket or other vehicle with very minimal accessories. Hwy 22 kits are better suited for 60's and later cars, but the Hwy 15 will work if staying witht the basic stuff. Best thing to do is read and follow the instructions and if you run into any problems, AAW's tech line is the best there is.

Thanks guys...I just received the kit today and it looks pretty straight forward. The only option on the chevelle is aftermarket electric windows, and I don't plan on too many other additions so I hope the Highway 15 will work.
