Hello guys,

It seems to me like the heads on my motor along with the oil pan are original. I guess I can't get solid evidence that the heads or oil pan are original though. The head information is:
Head Cast #'s: 6272292, oval open chamber heads (the cc would be nice to know) and I am not sure how big the oil pan is. How many quarts is the stock 72 402 oil pan supposed to hold? Also, does it have the oil splash tray in it? I am looking to get my original motor rebuilt, and I would like to have that splash tray in it. If anyone has and clues or information, let me know. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! I thought the oil pan was 5 quarts, but wasn't sure. I had no idea on what the cc was for the heads. One last question, do you know what fan should be on my motor? I have a 772 dated 71 fan right now, and I know it's not the original one. My car doesn't have AC, so I'm not sure if that makes a difference or not. Let me know. Thanks!
