Does anyone know if the hard lines for the ElCamino air shocks are reproduced in stainless steel, or am I gonna have to make them myself?

Bill, when I fixed my car back in '98 no one reproduced the lines so I had to just sand blast the original ones and paint them to look the best I could. If you do find someone who reproduces them please give me a heads up.

Thanks for the replys folks. Inline Tube and Right Stuff both make them in stainless. They are ordered and coming next week. I'm also looking for an answer to the question: What air shocks are we using to get as close to original as possible. I would like to hook them up to the hard lines as they were from the factory. Brand, what color should they be painted??

The old (GM) stock shocks require a different air line fitting on the shocks than the newer shocks. I could not find new shocks (5 years ago) that would fit the stock, nos, air line hoses that I had. You could have some rubber air line, custom made to fit the air shocks. Air shocks are not great for the best ride.

I'm not sure what the originals looked like, but the Monroe shocks look fairly simple. I'll fabricate the rubber lines that will attach to the hard lines somehoiw. Anyone know what color the original air shocks were? Were they shock grey like the spirals?

I've been looking for about 15 years and I'm yet to see an original set of air shocks,I just got a new set of Monroe air shocks and painted them the correct color for regular shocks and no one has ever questioned them,I did have to get an adapter(brass bushing)to attach the air line to the shock.I have never put air in the shocks yet(I've heard you need some in them)but the car rides great.
