I have seen reports on the dangers of the early mustangs (besides the obvious) but I had never heard of a problem with the chevelle/malibu. What do you know? It's like the staged chevy truck gas tank explosions, put a spark plug in the tank and set it off when a vehicle smacks the side of the truck, boom! That was on national tv! How long should GM be liable? The pinto deal is different, Ford knew this was a problem early and refused to fix it.
