I just got my girlfriend a 69 SS chevelle. Its a real SS but the SS dash cluster is missing and there is a chevelle wagon dash in there with idiot lights. All the wires for the SS gauges and tach are there from the original. I need a new gauge set up with the tach. So my questions are
Is the repro ones any good?
I really want an original, what should I expect to pay????
Thanks to all in advance.

The gauge cluster wasn't standard on the SS Chevelles. It's common to find idiot light clusters in SS cars. I don't have experience with the repro clusters but they are new and look like the real thing. It's pretty hard to find original for the price of the repro. Expect to pay $400 + for an original cluster with no guarantee that it will work.

I put a repro in mine (as well as a new gauges wiring harness). The only difference I noticed is that the lettering/numbers are a shade or two different from the original speedometer. My clock is NOS and matches the speedometer perfectly. Not very noticeable to the public eye, unless you stare and compare. All in all, I'm satisfied. I wish I could post pix, then you could see for yourself.

I have a repro tach. I don;t have it installed yet, but it seems to be a quality unit. substantial, not plasticy junk.
