What year car? Most year cars, you remove a few screws and push and twist the bulb out. Sometimes all you need to do is go behind the assembly, like if its a rear bulb, some cars are easily replaced by just twisting the socket from inside the trunk to get access to the bulb.

I should have payed more attention and noticed you were refering to the inside. For that, take a look under the dash and see if there are any sockets you can remove to get access to the bulb. I havent changed any in that body style before so I am not totally certain.
