Which Isky Solid cam would be better in a 10.5 compression 383 SBC. This car would have a 4 speed and 4:10 gears.

The z-25,z-27, z-30, z-35.

What Heads? What Manifold? Usage,{street/strip}? Race Gas,mixed Fuel?

Here Are Two Cams I Like From Crane Cams:
-110921 280/288 @.020 244/252@ .050 .518/.536 106* Lobe Center

-111411 292/300 @.020 256/264@.050 .545/.563 105* Lobe Center

As To Isky, Z-35 Would Give Max Performance

Watch Out For Fuel With Any Of These Cams

OK, Heads are TrickFlows with 63 cc's, Manifold will be a Air Gap or a Victor Jr.

Street/Strip Car - more street.

93 octane car with 110 mixed on race day.

A good quench has been built in. Around .041

DCR will be around 8.2 to 8.3.

My buddy has the Z60 in a 10.5:1 350 with Holley heads,4spd and 4.88`s and a 28" tire. He has a bit too much gear but it use to be a 327 car and needed the gears. He likes the cam and it`s not too crazy in a 350 and would be a bit tamer in a 383.

Just remembered that there are a few guys on the camamro site with similar motors running the comp 294 magnum solid and have good luck with it. They are in the 11`s.

Imho, you want SOTA, then call up UDHarold and ask him!

Reach him at 662-562-4933.

Harold say's his existing cam grinds stay at Custom Camshaft Company, and anyone who wants one may PM Dacaman12 on Team Chevelle."

And if you do call, please say hello from ol' pdq67, thx..

I would rather run this isky cam instead of the ones you mentioned.

part# 201532 242/246 @.050, 270/274 ad duration, .530/.535" on a l06 LSA

that extra lift will help compared to the older designs.

How about this one from Luanti. I would have to have it custom ground as the one they offer is on a 106/100.

The cam would be:

285/295 252/261 .525..525 on a 108/104

Motor would be a right at 10.5 compression with a DCR at 8.28.

you might try one of Harolds 288/296 solids. You can get them from Lunati or bullet cams. I`ve heard they are really good grinds. I`m considering a hydraulic version of his 288/296 for my 383 build.

I just odered that cam from Lunati. It will be going in a 11.4 to 1 355. It is an old UDHarold circle track grind. I got mine on the 106 LSA. I can't wait to get it in.
