Sup i have a 68 Chevelle 2 door, and i took the 10 bolt rear end out of it in favor for the 12 bolt now this rear end measures 54" from backing plate to backing plate, then i have a 1980 Malibu that i would like to make a street car or something maybe paint it black white or silver strips, the rear end that came out of it was 53" wide from backing plate to backing plate will these rear ends interchange cause i sold the malibu rear end and want to put the 68 chevelle rear into and but want to know if it will fit or will i need to get a different rear end thanks guys Ryan:thumbsup:

I think they make a kit to install the older rear ends into those 78-87 malibu's.

Trailing arm mounts are at a completely differnent angle for the upper arms....so that would be a no.

I know they use to make a control arm kit to put like a 12 bolt in a 78-87 malibus.
