I needed to get my speed fix since I can't drive the Chevelle (soon, but not soon enough). I scooped up this '93 Z28. Needed a water pump an optispark and just a tune up in general. So I did all the necessary work and started cruisin'! It will never take the Velle's place, but I gotta say for a factory ride it's pretty awesome! Factory 4wdb, power everything, decent power for a stocker......You just jump in turn the key and go!

I finally washed it, polished the wheels and blacked out the tail panel. It's a LOT of fun and I just couldn't keep it to myself.......getting to that optispark is a whole other story though! On to the pics!

(In the last pic it's sitting funny because the ground wasn't even.....It doesn't usually sit that high in the back.)

Congrats! Tail panel blackout looks good. Looks like your right exhaust tip has ED. ;)

Looks good Jay.
The optispark is easy to get to once you remove the dash and fire wall. LOL The way the engine sits in those cars is the only thing I hate about them. A comp. chip will really wake that thing up.

Thanks! I'm not sure whats up with the exhaust? Hopefully won't be there much longer anyway...

Yep....It's a pain. I'm still trying to get used to the speed density/ FI stuff. All I've ever known are carbs. Thanks for the tip!

Nice ride!!!!! I had a 98 SS (in the backround) back in 2000. Dang I miss that car. 12.9 @ 107 with a lid as the only mod. 6 speed to boot.

I miss my '02. Sold it last July. Here's a pic of the new owner driving it away. :(

Very cool! 4th gens are a lot of car for not much cash if you stick to the 93-97s. If you need any parts let me know, I am parting out a couple 95 Z28s right now. Just picked up this one last week for next summer's driver. I need to change the color but they are a lot of fun, especially the 6 speeds.

I've passed a few cops and it sure does turn more heads then my old suburban.......Just gotta learn to take it easy!

nice car. wish i could pick one up like yours.
Thanks! Just keep an eye out....around here they are all over the place.

but they are a lot of fun, especially the 6 speeds.

That's the only thing I would have changed. This one has an auto in it, but I drive a 6 speed all week at work so I don't miss it too much. Thanks for the heads up on the parts. I need a few misc. things so I might be getting up with you.

There are a lot more 4th gens on here then I thought! Some very nice lookin rides fella's!!

I have a 95 Z-28 and a 2002 Florida Highway Patrol B4C.

Both great cars - good gas mileage.

Had a new 99 SS - should have kept that one also.

Cool - I like the first few years of the 4th gen better than the last - like the rectangle exhaust, 4 headlights, just my .02. I would take a '00-03 SS though!

Thanks for the kind words! I'm busy trying to find out why it seems to have a rear tire wear problem.....anyone have any ideas as to what the problem could be?

Have fun trying to work on it. Especially when it comes time to replace spark plugs.:)

First thing I did was plugs, wires, optispark, water pump, and EGR. I know very well how big a pain these things are.....thankfully that stuff doesn't have to be changed much.
