During my recent switch from 10 bolt to 12 bolt that I salvaged from beside a garage in TN with alot of mud I did not chase the threads before hand and broke a bolt off and need to get the right tap. Can someone please tell me the correct tap size for 12 bolt pinion yoke?

remove yoke & drill out from back side...think its 5/16-24 tap,1/4" tap drill...or is it the pinion nut??

For anyones info it is a 5/16x32 and another fyi if you break a tap you can not drill it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You dont want to know how I know!!!!! But you can probably guess how I know!!!!!!!!!!!!
