Don't imagine it'd work on a BBC application? Like to use a LS7 5 Qt. pan. Any experiences? T.I.A. Tony. graemlins/beers.gif

I have a Milodon stock replacement pan on my 489 no problems. It is not notched grooved or dented in any way. I'm using Eagle H-beams though.

Tony, When your block is at the machine shop you may want to have them profile the bottom of the cylinders to clear the rod with that 1/4" arm. Unless it has been done you will have a clearance issue with stock block. Also check to make sure the pan gasket is notched for the crank or your oil will be full of gasket as you break it in... not sure about stock pan... I have always used aftermarket with the best luck using Milodon 31100

Thanks to all who graemlins/beers.gif replied. Great relief. Really was set on staying with stock parts. Have a great new year, Tony A.
