I`m thinkin about puttin the chevy steel shim head gaskets on this stock 350 just to bump the compression alittle for the cam setup. stock heads an block. performer intake comp cam with new springs an lifters nothin radical. Just tryin to get the old school lumpy sound! Jeff

Prior to the early 70's all Chevy engines had shim gaskets. If the head and block surfaces are in good condition, go for it.
