The car is a 70 SS 454 convertible nice clean driver, Want to get the bottom to be as clean as the top so started in rear of car removed gas tank and rear end. Have all new brake lines and emergency cables. Started looking at fuel lines and wondering how difficult it would be to change the body bushings. Is it worth the trouble to change the bushings? They are about .5 inch thick right now how thick are they new? Yea, I know it"s a driver right! I'm just anal. Thanks Mark

They should be a little thicker than that. You won't be able to change the fuel line with the body on, FYI. Changing the bushings is not that big of a deal as long as the body bolts don't break. Just lift the body very carefully and keep the doors on the car and closed. Also keep the top up and latched.
