I'm in the process of replacing the vent window assemblies on my '70 Elky.
Although the Fisher Body Manual says nothing about it, it appears that the outer window felt needs to be removed in order to tilt the assembly towards the back of the door in order to pull the assembly out.

I can't see any obvious way to remove the felt and I don't want to force it. I assume that it snaps on is some fashion but getting it off has me baffled. So what's the trick to removing the felt strip with ruining it or screwing up the paint on the door?

Update: Upon further investigation, I've discovered that by "rolling" the felt back, that there are four pop rivets holding the strip in place. Is this how it was originally done, or is this a creative approach to attaching it, done by a previous owner?

On my 70 Chevelle there were 3 or 4 screws that were removed easily once I loosened up the glass from its guides. Don't know Elkys but rivets seem suspicious since this is a part that can be replaced.
