I will be taking my '71 Chevelle in Monday next week after work for new exhaust system from exhaust manifolds on back to rear bumper. Hanging the 2.25 pipe in original style near as can be done. I have two sets of the chrome style exhaust tips, not sure which to use. One set seems "heavier" than the other and has GM 3956756 W stamped on both tips. The second set is actually a smaller outlet and will fit inside the outlet of the first set mentioned. Leaning toward the larger size but don't know, are they actual original tips from GM? Also how do I place them for factory correct measurements or appearance relative to the rear bumper and valance? Mufflers will be original Thrush Turbo's with off set inlet and outlet with oval body. Any tips and info is much appreciated. Can't afford a high dollar show car but doing my best to make it correct. Thanks to all who reply.
