I had to replace most of the parts on my rear brake drum. I picked up a self adjuster repair kit which has a new adjuster wheel, pawl, actuator lever and metal rod.

I noticed that despite everything being positioned correctly, and even when the drum is adjusted correctly, the pawl still lets the adjuster wheel turn in either direction. Is this ok? It's still close enough to self adjust but it's just barely close enough to not keep it from turning the other way. I've done everything I could short of bending the thing.

Never mind- it's working fine now. I guess after letting everything sit for a few hours the springs compressed and it's all the way it should be. I always question new parts after dealing with so many crappy repros!!
