Anybody planning on going? It seems like it would be the last race/episode for this season, but actually, it's the first race/episode for season two. Next years schedule is out, only two tracks get return engagements.

While regular "PINKS" is like driving around in a car full of Bee's, I like the ALL OUT show. Sure, I went through the whole spectrum of emotions in the days leading up to the Vegas show. Stoked, betrayed, condemning, etc... The fact is, I had a great time. I'm sure that Daryl (Yost) will tell you the same thing.

The S.I.R. event had been buzzing in my head, but kinda wrote it off after a job came up that overlapped Saturdays racing. Then my rearend went out. Thought, what the hey, I'll catch 'em next time around. Keep in mind, this is THEE only opportunity that I have EVER had to run my car on a well prepped track, no roll bar and all.

With the new diff in, and the next seasons schedule not too accommodating, I started thinking. You know, in "LIFE: part II", married with kids, ("LIFE: part numero uno" Everyday was great, at least the ones that I can remember), I can probably count with fingers alone, the number of times that I said "I had a great time" and honestly meant it. Let's just see if I can still get in on it.

Compared to Vegas, the functional network for this event is down right prehistoric. I sent fax's and emails out late last night. At 7am this morning, Barb from S.I.R. called me to say that I'm in.

One of my drivers is going to take my place on the job and I'm heading south. Probably alone, appropriate, since I'm doing it for myself anyway.

If anybody else is going to come play, I'd sure like to hook up (in a keeping your pants on sorta way). The motorhome has it's own WiFi station (for work) and I'll have my computer with me, so feel free to shoot me a PM or email. Gates supposedly open at 8 tomorrow morning, with racing/practice/T&T, what ever you want to call Fridays activity starting at 11, or so they say. Obviously I won't have a participants packet to refer to until I get there.

If you happen across a black '66 next to an RV sporting a checkered flag awning and NASCAR badging (no, not a redneck roundy, roundy worshiper, just happens to be the way that I bought them), be sure to stop in and say hello.

Good luck Rowdy, I hope the Pinks crowd look for a 10.50 class. I really enjoyed the article on your car, and the stuff you write here. I will be watching for it on the tube. Take care, Daren
