I don't post a lot on DRR, but I enjoy the entertainment and I'm beginning to notice symptoms of withdrawal. What's happening?

Roger, if you'd like, I can call you a clueless wannabe, someone who already has their mind made up before they ask questions and claim I have the world's fastest footbraked 2-ton stock tire stock type suspension red Chevelle in the land that'll run high 9's all day, every day with 1.29 60-foot times, even though I won't post any time slips to those effects. I don't even have an engine, I just cut a hole thru the floor and make my passes Fred Flintstone style :D

I hear you, man, I'm going thru withdrawals myself. There's plenty of good help there from experienced folks if you don't mind sifting thru the BS.

Don't know what's happening, but this is a real good way to kill a site. Eventually racers won't come back due to the unreliable board. This is what the third time in a row it's been down for a long time?

It says on DRR's main site that Danny Sons is changing servers to eliminate the down time. The BB should be up the begining of the week(this week )...Oh well

Gary - But,... I am a clueless wannabe. Oh well, I enjoy reading those threads, but I make it a point not to post in them.

Todd - Yeah,... after trying once or twice a day for a few days you just kind of say "screw it". And yes, I think this is the 3rd time in about as many weeks that its been down.

Jim - Is Danny changing servers to eliminate down time or avoid paying the bills?

Todd and Jim - I just noticed we're hitting various milestones. Todd just hit 2700 posts, Jim is about to hit 1000 and I'm struggling along at 900.

Post whoring today to pass the time away!

Yea, but my post could is likely higher than that as I originally signed up here under my real name which I kept for a few years before changing to my current username. Wonder how many posts I had before the switch?

Oh well, doesn't matter.

hey, here's one more post to my count. :p:D

You don't need DRR, there's guys here perfectly capable of heaping verbal abuse on your head. :)

Yeah, it takes a serious engine genius to pick the best builder in the country, then turn around tell him how to build his engine!

383Malibu knows!!!! :DJohn, you've been hanging around DRR too long, you're beginning to think, talk and type like them. A little longer and you'll be running alcohol.:D

It a joke -- a website called netdisasters.com takes a snapshot of a webpage and makes dog-poo drop on it, protesters march across, etc.

Not sure why websense is blocking . . .

Not sure why websense is blocking . . .I looked at the url. Websense is actually blocking www.dragraceresults.com (http://www.dragraceresults.com) as "sports". But, now you'll force me to take a look at netdisasters.com. :D

Nah, they're all career T-N-T guys. A lower form of life, to be sure. IIRC, awhile back one of the guys actually won a race. His T-N-T career was tragically cut short. No doubt he's still recovering from the shock.

Brackettalk is supposed to be dedicated to bracket racing yet we've got folks who tout bracket racing over there tweaking every last ounce of ET out of their rides and telling us it's all about consistancy.

I've got your consistancy right here.......... :)

Most guys get bored with just bracket racing so to keep it interesting they tweak their combo to hopefully go faster. Otherwise you might as well build a consistant slow boring car and just win rounds. I know I know, fast car, cut a light, hold a couple and take .01 of stripe and you win more rounds. Doesn't always work that way. Especially when the slow car runs a good package round after round.

When I started racing, the nightmare called "bracket racing" hadn't been dreamed up yet. In fact, I participated in the 1963 Nationals (Indy) and I believe it was the first national event where they used the "tree" (I could be wrong here). As a result, we have always been "heads up wannabes" (and proud of it). We have lost countless bracket races because Ryan felt that the car was on a personal best and stayed in it regardless of the dial in or where his opponent was.
