I think if you have always wanted a manual tranny, then I would say go manual. Then Go 5-speed overdrive for sure. Can you wait for the Muncie 5-speed? If not, then look at the most appropriate Tremec for you. I am happy with my TH400 and Gearvendor but am stuck with that lingering feeling that I have always wanted a manual tranny!! The plan is to put one in my next Chevelle!! Hope this helps! :)

sounds like with your cars set-up it would be ok to just go with a 4-speed muncie/ST-10 trans. leave the rear gears alone and run the tallest tires that fit or you like the looks of to lower your rpm at highway speeds. this will be cheaper that buying an overdrive trans and you will have less problems with cutting the floor.

Go with the 4spd muncie, there is nothing like banging gears at WOT when your puting the boots to some Ford/rice burner.:D

I am so glad I changed mine to a 5 speed. Made it 2 times more fun to drive.
