I wasn't sure where to post this but my friend and I have been working on our racing lawn mower lately and shattered the rod and scored the crank on our ohv craftsman 15 hp riding mower. we found a used crank and rod and got it back together and now it doesn't run without a prime. if we dump gas down the carb it runs as long as the prime does and dies. there is fuel getting to the bowl just fine and I have taken it apart twice to clean it out and all seems fine but it doesn't want to run. it ran good before the motor blew up and we haven't changed anything on it so theoretically it ought to run like a top.
BTW this thing looks sweet and is expected to go around 55-60 mph with the pullys we've rounded up. It has a 1 5/8" exhaust system too (yes it's LOUD)
