The only "new" Q-jets have been available from Edelbrock. I found out today that all the Q-Jet part numbers have been discontinued, although they intend to continue to supply replacement parts.
As I write this, Summit still has some 1904 carbs in stock, but the 1910 is sold out at Summit, Jegs, and AJ USA. Edelbrock has no more, but has a few 9975 which is the "rebuilt" version of the 1910. (Customer returns, reboxed)
I haven't chased down availaibility of any of the other carb numbers.
If you want a "New" Q-jet, better buy it NOW.

Or go over to Holley and see what they have for sale that they have rebuilt..
E-brock is trying to corner the NON-Holley carb. market and then stick it to us.. IMHO!!!!
They just haven't picked up the 1,000cfm Thermo-Quad yet is all...

Edelbrock never made those QJets... they had an agreement with Magnetti Marelli to produce new ones for them ... Due to declineing QJets sales and even less future demand Edelbrock was unable to come to an agreement with Magnetti Marelli to continued to produce new Q Jets.... Magentti Marelli has terminated the project and had destroyed the tooling to produce the Q Jets. There are various places that are returning some Q Jets back to Edelbrock so there will be a few showing up every now and then but for all intents and purposes they are gone.

Why do companies destroy tooling? Couldn't they have just sold it off to someone?
How much do the new q-jets run for? Are they actually any better than an old rebuilt q-jet?

The new QJets were not inexpensive. As to why the tooling was destroyed I cant honestly say , but I got the impression that even Edelbrock was less then thrilled with the volume of Q Jets sales that they had... But as I understand it Edelbrock did want to continue with the QJet program.... But MM aparently did not.Edelbrock is trying to take it's self private and maybe needed monies for other reasons rather than spend millions to buy the tooling for a product with a declining demand.... Perhaps no other mfg would step up... I really dont know for sure but I did read an Edelbrock EMail that the tooling has been destroyed.

That stinks I was thinking about a 1910 for my 71 I am working on to be a driver. Do y'all think it would be the best choice for a 9.5 to 1 454 .030over,9.5 to 1 comp, xe268, and a weiand action plus. t400 with 3.55 gears.1.75 tube headers.3" out the back? Because I will try to run one down quick.

That's a crying shame. The best US carb ever made IMO.
