what would be ther better tranny to use on the new 540 in a 65 malibu na dhow or where can i learn more about converters?

I've got a Hughes TH-400 behind mine.

I believe either one can be made to withstand almost anything. The TH400 is a little heavier, but when everything including cost, strength and weight, Id pick the 400. Maybe Harold Sutton will chime in here. He knows his stuff. Not to "diss" anyone else, but read his and Wolfplaces past posts, plenty of good reading!

i've been running an older model th-400 for years and no problems.i love it! i ditched the th-350 years ago and havent missed it.
