Sorry for taking so long to follow-up. When I first received the grill from True Connections, it was bent inside the box. The box was visibly damaged. True Connections sent a call tag, and I had another grill shipped to my door within the next weeke or so. They double boxed the second one and it arrived safe and sound. True Connections came through as I would expect them to.
In my opinion, the grill looks pretty good. My car will be a very nice driver and I think the grill will fit right in for the level I am building my car to.... a pure resto guy or someone building a highend showcar might find fault... I dunno. For the price, I am happy. I haven't tried fitting the grill yet.

md, I will post back once I've test fitted the grill, but it will probably be a month or so.
OKtunes, I ordered the grill from True Connections in Riverside, CA. I had to wait a couple weeks to get it, because they were out of stock when first ordered. According to the oner, they were still able to order the grills.

I've heard nightmares about the fittment of these. That led me to find a clean factory one for my wagon. Interested to hear if they've gotten better.

We have several in stock, however I am not to pleased with the quality. They are flimsey and not contured right. They are not made of quality aluminum but they are the only ones on the market and can be bent to look OK. Definately not show quality in my opinion. Ausleys

Too bad. Nothing changed in nearly 20 years? I bought a repro '65 grille from one of the places-- I don't remember which--years ago...sometime before Fall of '90, Very poor quality. Soft aluminum. Tools marks where it had been clamped in a fixture, etc. The place refunded my money OK. At that time was still able to get a brand new in the box factory grille from I think it was Modern Chevrolet in NC or SC, somewhere back there.
I guess the places all sell the junk to stay in business. Too bad they couldn't get in cahoots to put some pressure on the people who stamp this junk stuff out.
