i`m not really sure why you would need to modify or change your tranny hump but its not very hard, although cutting mine for a Tremec 5 speed left me feeling sick in the pit of my stomach to cut my car, but tis really no big deal. Just cut the floor whit a plasma cutter or even a sawsall then add the new sheet metal using pop rivets or weld. I prefer pop rivets with a good body sealer to seal up the new pieces.

Why do you need to change the hump? If its a Auto, There is no need to change anything. If its a 4-speed. Just get one of these. click (http://www.paddockparts.com/Paddock/productr.asp?pf%5Fid=CH199E&gift=False&0=dept%2Easp%2Cdept%5Fid%3D6%26menu%5Fid%3D%26Tree %3D%2CChevelle%2FMonte%20Carlo&1=dept%2Easp%2Cdept%5Fid%3D261%26menu%5Fid%3D%26Tr ee%3D0%2CChevelle%2FMonte%20Carlo%20Body%20Parts&2=product%5Ffamily%2Easp%2Cfamily%5Fid%3D3129%26Tr ee%3D1%2C64%2D72%20Chevelle%2C%20El%20Camino%2C%20 Monte%20Carlo%204%2DSpeed%20Shifter%20Hump%20Plate&HSLB=False&mscssid=052428B30E6F540A69236BE78085F025) Cut out the old opening and weld this in.
