Just installed a new Centerforce clutch, installation went good ,resurfaced flywheel, new throwout and pilot bearing, seems to work ok just moving it back and forth in the garage, but clutch is noisy, almost like a whirring, chirping noise.Seems I read something here about noise till the center themselves?Cant take it out and drive it ,weather is too bad.Wiil this thing quiet down as you drive it or should I yank it back out and recheck things.

yank it, if it is making noise something is wrong i've put them in two cars and they are quite. all you can hear is the disc as you let out the clutch, sounds like sandpaper being used for just a second. the longer you run it the more you hurt. you can't get the trans in if it isn't centered....unless you break something.
i have a 70ss also, fathom blue and blk int

Maybe my ears are sensitive, but I thought I faintly heard the weights whirring around. If its that faint, I would give it some time.

Follow the 500 mile breakin. I know a guy who put one in and went out and did a nice launch and glazed the disc. He wound up pulling it out and had to sand the disc or replace it.
