hi pat ,i live about 50 miles from bakersfield.my 67 ss is going down for paint right now.but i use to drag race it at bakersfield about 10 years ago. it was full body weighing about 3500 lbs.it had a 454 with aluminum heads with tunnel ram 2 750 dp's and 720 lift roller cam. 400 trans with brake and 456 gears . it ran 11.08 123 mph!

i see you have a 67 you race.would you have any body,trim or any thing else you might want to sell?if so maybe i could come down there and see you?

Wow Pat, I forgot those were coming up! I don't think I'll be making it to bakersfield to see ya, so best of luck! Heck with the new job I havn't been able to muster time to touch the poor chevelle in 3 MONTHS. Makes me sick, I just want to put her back on the road. Who all is gonna make it out there? My track up here in Redding is coming...but I have roll cage issues(passed local tech...but needs to be fixed). Im second in points in sportsman here and would love to go....but. Good luck everyone.

I have a buddy in Phoenix that runs a Red Box nova with "Casa Nova" on the side of it, that is going. I was thinking of going up for it, If I can squeeze it into the schedule. His name if Marv & is one Heck of a guy.

Pat, know that several of my friends from Samoa will trekking down to Bakersfield. Look up Dennis Ellsworth in the Wonder Bros. dragster that turns 8.60's in 1/4mi. and say hello! Hey Bob, I lived in Blue Lake for 20 years and worked in Eureka. Still have some property there. I really liked it and hope to return someday. I flew model airplanes at Somoa. Do they still fly there? I'll look up Dennis.

Dennis is Rick Ellsworth brother, its actually Rick that I know is going to be there and possibly his brothers 16 yr.old son Dennis Jr. driving an almost identical SBC-dragster like Rick's!
