Hi. I am a new member and in search for a 68-69 to build a nice pro touring car. I had found one I thought would be good for a nice start. It's a solid 68, no rust or bondo anywhere. Good paint. Clean interior. It has a well built 383 stroker motor, dart heads, 4spd muncie, 12 bolt, front disc, new wheels and tires, and a nice stereo. The current owner isn't that knowledgeble about the car. He isn't sure what gears it has, says that the compression ratio is 11-1. He bought it for a toy from the guy that built the car. What's do you think is a fair offer, and what concerns should I have. Thanks here are some photos. Jason

Jason, looks like a pretty clean car. Looks nice, sits nice, but hard to tell from a few photos what it might be worth, or what might be wrong with it (if anything). Looks like it would be decent to drive as is, maybe add an AC system if it doesn't have one (I couldn't tell for sure in the pics if thats an AC compressor or a chromed alternator). No mention if its a Malibu or an SS, which could impact the price, but it looks like a Malibu from what I can tell. Its nice one though! Price is tough to say, the nicer ones bring the most and this one looks pretty darn nice, so I'd bet its in the mid to upper teens.

Thanks Jeff. I have to decide if I want to fly to DETROIT or not. This site is awesome I have learned so much in such a short time. Thanks Again.

Yes, that's the trouble buying long distance, but I wouldn't buy without either seeing it myself, or having someone I really trust look at it for me. Good luck in your search.
