Anoyone try one on a SBC? Edelbrock seems to have a nice piece that bolts all the way around the bottom of the cover wich seems like it would prevent leaks quite a bit. Do the el-cheapos work? Im planning on doing a cam swap over the winter and playing with cam timing so the invetment would be worth not having to drop my damn oil pan, change 7 more qts of oil, and mess another 1 piece gasket up pulling everything out {aprox 50 bucks} almost the price of the edelbrock piece. Plus it would cut the time and mess in half. Anyone???? Thanks.

I did try the cheap one for Mr. Gasket. I ended up thowing it in the trash. Edelbrock may make a better one, it would be worth $50 bucks to me if it worked well. Dropping the oil pan is a pain in the arse!
