I got a set of Simpson belts for the s-10 Blazer since the stock ones are junk. I do not need a cage or will I need one for a few years. I can't install them because the shoulder belts are too short. They don't get over my shoulders and even close to the floor. I am using the factory bucket seats and am not reinstalling the rear seat. Do I have to fab up something and bolt it to the floor or is there a simpler and cleaner way to do this? Pics would help.

What are some suggestions???

Here is the kit I got for both sides.

how fast? do you need a 5 point harnass? I don't think the 5 point belts help much without a rollbar.

k, (Name ??)
You cannot attach the shoulder belts of a rasing type harness to the floor. They have to go to a bar across your back or they are absolutely worthless. Think about the way they work and you will see that the shoulder belts cannot keep you from moving forward when they are attached to the floor, or anywhere much lower than your shoulders. If you cannot install them correctly, you are probably better off, and much safer, with the stock belts and shoulder harness that came with the truck. Just get new ones from the dealer if yours are worn out.

Sometimes racing parts are not the best way to go if you do not have the correct "system" to work with them.
