Can anyone tell me why when I turn the car on, the brake pedal pushes itself down.

I've done a conversion using a Hydroboost system out of a 90 Suburban. I kept my original steering box and pump. I installed a T junction for the return line from the Hydroboost and the steering box since there's only one inlet on the pump.

I've verified the hoses are hooked up right, the only think I can think of is to change out the pump to the one I pulled from the Suburban.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Do you have enough free play between the pedal and booster?

Which way did you install the 'T'? The pressure return needs to be inline with the reservior, and the low pressure return from the hydroboost needs to be in the T part.

Thanks for the responses.

Maybe it's the T then. I've got it the other way, with the presure return from the Hytroboost inline with the T.

Damn, I would have never thought of that. How'd you know that.

I'll switch it around this week and see if that fixes it. Thanks.

Its a common problem, many people don't see the difference. Its actually been posted a few times as well. The only reason I knew is because I am in the process of installing hydroboost and I have been reading alot about the setup...
