The biggest of advantage of the capscrews rod is that you can replace the fasteners yourself at rebuild time without absolutely having to have your rods resized.

And the capscrews are less likely to have clearence issues is what I hear.

Capscrews place part of the load on the threads of the rod itself rather than having the bolt carry the full stress of changing piston direction almost immediately. They also allow for a lighter rod since the capscrew is shorter and has no nut. HTH
