Here is a series of pictures from my track outing on Sat. The car was yanking the fronts pretty hard. Went all new bests in all incrementals except one......right off the trailer no less! I heard a noise in the rear end during shutdown on my second pass and loaded up and came home. Found some broken teeth on the ring gear when I pulled it apart this afternoon. I've ordered a Pro Gear to replace the previous street gear.

Needless to say there is quite a bit of ET left in the car since my first pass off the trailer is usually a throw away with the fluids/driveline being cold. With any luck I'll be back out on Nov. 18th to try it again. :D

Damn fine looking! It needs a caption like, "Hey, were'd the track go?!?!"

But after those walls wrinkle down, I think it adds up to a 10" tire! :D

The pro gears are not compatable with the street, that car would be killer as a street car.

Pro Gears are okay for putt-ing to the local cruise spot, they cant or they are not supposed to take the sustained heat of hwy driving. When I talked to Richmond they said they will not guarantee the gears for street use, but if you do, many have had luck setting them up loose (meaning on the high side of .008-.012), so as to generate less heat. After breaking two sets of street gears last year, swapped to a Pro Gear and they've successfully made 220 passes to date. How did they airbrush the jackstands out of that pic Garret? J/K :D

Thanks! Yeah the air was good that day. Too bad I broke early before making some more passes.

It's a street/strip car. Like Bob says just some short boulevard cruising.

She's getting up pretty good! Nice looking ride.

Thanks. Yeah it's yanking the wheels a bit more than last year.

Thanks!

Very, very carefully Bob! I like the 4th pic where the starter is looking for air but couldn't find any. :D

Very nice Garret
Looking and performing killer.
Are you runnning the 30x9's (Hoosier radial slick) on a 10" wheel on there?

Yes. The tires in the pic are the 30 x 9 Hoosier radial slicks on a 10" wheel.

You need to come to Tulsa Garret. The air is getting fantastic and this track is 180' lower than KCIR. The strip at K.C. did have better air the other day though. Your times still were at about 1200+ D.A. so there is room for improvement. We had real good air for the CDRA race and the week before that. Predicted highs about 70 degrees for this coming weekend.

Ron- This is the first time I've gotten the opportunity to run in some "killer" air and the ring gear failed me. Hopefully there is still a little good air left.

It's amazing what the "little 305 cc heads that could" can do!

It's looking awesome Garret and you're doing a great job of tweaking it. Congrats on the new bests! :beers:

Roger- It's getting harder and harder to find ET. I have stayed the course and continue to refine the suspension. Each time I go out I learn something new.

the perfect wheelie!!!

It's getting closer anyhow. I still have work to do!

Wow, Garrett! Your performance has really come around on the Camaro. Congrats on the new best  Car is leaving really nice.

I appreciate it Kenny. I think you'll be pleased with the drag radials!

Garret,

Congrats on the new bests!

Was the 9.66 at a different track than you usually run? If I remember correctly it ran the back half of the track there quicker for whatever reason?

Hopefully I'll have some new bests to report this weekend If I can keep from tearing something up.

There is no doubt about it. Going faster means more maintenance.

Thanks. Yeah, 3 years worth of suspension work and it's finally leaving decent. That is a bit of an understatement. A 1.34 on all motor is real good for a 137 MPH car. If no one has mentioned it the Mikronite process is good for appx. 12-15 more H.P. but can only be applied to new gears according to the people i spoke with. Kinda pricey at $400 additional dollars on pro gears, $250 on standard gears, but the Pro Stock boys are getting ten times the life out of their gears compared to what they were before they started using the process.
