I purchased a new grille for my '72 and the color (black) seems a little faded or drab. Has anyone ever painted or finished a plastic grille to make the color more uniform? Thanks as always.

Sure. Use Krylon 1613 semi-flat black. Just the right color, and it's cheap.

yeah i just repainted my old faded grill, it will look sweet if you take your time and mask everything off and spray it with new paint, good luck

I would recomend using SEM Landau Black. They also have a Plastic Prep as well. Follow the can instructions. Worked great for me.

Just finished mine. It was time consuming but a fun project. I would suggest taking it off the car, alot easier and no overspray anywhere. Sounds silly but I've seen people do it before and not happy with the results.
