Hey guys, this isnt really electrical so I wasnt sure where to put it but anyway...
I switched from a sweep malibu cluster to an SS gauge package and the speedometer is skrewy.
Below AS (actual speed) 50 it is 10 over, from 50-65 or so AS it is 15-20 over, and after 70 its 25-30 over and starts jumping down to 120 and back...
I'm going on a 300 mile trip next weekend for a friends wedding and I could use a speedo on the way since my tach isnt fully accurate yet (full of trash or somehting that keeps hanging the needle)
If i remove the speedo is this something easily repaired or do I need to drop NPD $180 for a new speedo?
It shouldn't be a trans gear problem should it? Especially not with the varied inaccuracy and jumping? The old dash used to jump right after a rearend gear swap then it quit after a while, the speedo was accurate in the old dash...had a cop clock me to make sure it was dead nuts on
