: Chevelle going bye bye :(
manganos Nov 3rd, 07, 7:37 PM Well after a LONG discussion with the wife I have agreed to sell my Chevelle. I don't think I'll have trouble selling considering how many tire kickers stop and ask how much I want for it everytime I drive it. Before now I could never put a price tag on it. Hopefully later in life I can buy it back or find one just as nice. I'm sure I'm going to kick myself in the butt but the time is right for me and with the real estate market going south I want to invest some of my money in other avenues. I'm still going to lurk and posts. Thanks everyone for all of your help and laughs.
:beers:

chevelledude71 Nov 4th, 07, 1:11 AM Do you have it for sale in the classifieds?
Don't count on those tire kickers actually buying your car, you will get those everyday.
manganos Nov 4th, 07, 8:42 AM Yep it is in the classifieds. I agree with the tirekickers..... Money talks :)
oldtimebaseballfan Nov 4th, 07, 9:16 AM Chris, I think you are in a price range that many people can afford. The car looks good in the pics. Good luck.
manganos Nov 4th, 07, 10:12 AM Thanks Tim! I'm getting ready to take it on a Sunday drive to church. I know I shouldn't ..... getting rid of it is going to be hard and the garage is going to look EMPTY.
bowkevin Nov 4th, 07, 10:16 AM Hi Chris, good luck selling your car. It looks great and you shouldnt have any problems finding a buyer. I looked at your pictures on photobucket. Thats quite a collection of artifacts you've found. I hunt indian artifacts and always enjoy seeing other collections. I live near Ft. Neccessity and have found some items from the battles fought near there. My dad and I found half of a cannonball with a metal detector many years ago. Most of my indian finds are on the surface in plowed fields as they are stone but seeing your pics has made me want to get the metal detector out and take a walk in the mountains again.

Had a fiancee' that said that in 1988 about my old Nova drag car............traded it in 2004 for the Chevelle & well her? I haven't seen her since '88!:D

Yeah I like the indian artifacts as well. I have quite a few in my collection and should prob take some pics of them. I 've got one area in particular that is FULL of points and pottery shards. I've hunted with a metal detector up in Penn on the Delware River. I found the usual crotal bells and old Coppers. You will have great luck I'm sure. If you need a hand with any detecting questions give me a shout.
Chris
BlackBetty Nov 4th, 07, 1:38 PM Wow...thought I was the only one parting with an old friend. Good luck to you...that car will bring big bucks imo. Just be careful....you'll have lots of folks making big promises....i've got "hold it till I get the money" offers that are very funny. I've done that 4 times now.....not any longer!!!!!! Provide a deposit ...Yes...hold it with no money NO!!!!
I had more than a few offers to pay for my car full price for their "client" in the UK, and they will have a shipping company pick it up and give ME a generous fee for "helping them" and send the remainder back by check.....LOL I told a few of them that I was the aire to a rich king or dictator who picked ME of all people to manage their money in the US and I would ship the car for free once I got the first million from this King or dictator.
(apparently their are white trash southern boys related to black kings in Africa)
But hey...it's all in fun.

Ditto. I get all sorts of people asking "Are you willing to sell it"....well....of course! Problem is when I tell them how much I want for it they seem to change their tune....guess either they don't want it that bad or think I'll just accept any low ball offer that comes my way.
