Hi Guys,
It's been awhile. I just bought a 74 suburban with 454 and T400 and A/C. Will be installing in my 66 Chevelle which currently has a 350 - 4spd.
I see alot of partial answers but would love the answer in one spot.
1. current car original malibu has 350 /4spd/PS/no air.
2. what engine mounts?
3. what needs to be done to tranny crossmember?
4 drive shaft?
5 clearance issues?
6. best headers fit / price?
7. Any additional suggestions would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!

Thanks in advance..........Jeff

your 350 mounts should work fine.
Shouldn't need to anything to the crossmember.A new trans mount will probably be needed.

I don't think so.
otherwise why would there be different big and small block engine mounts.

You will need the Big Block mounts like on the 66 SS396 cars.

I am not an expert on transmission stuff, but if your combo came out of a truck, isn't there long, and short tail T400 trans?? That would be a factor for your driveshaft length.

I don't claim to know this stuff 100% but enough, to know that these need to be addressed, for your swap.

Good luck.
