I am looking for a place that sells new or used FACTORY front fenderwells for my 1971. I bought aftermarket and they do not fit, my stock ones where full of holes from years of people drilling holes in them and I threw them out.

If someone can hook me up I will give them a ride in my 1000 hp "pro touring" chevelle!!:boring:;)

Might try your local Chevy dealers part counters!

Curious, why not go with the steel wheel wells?

The car came with plastic and I would like to keep the weight down. Has there ever been anyone who actuall weighed a steel and plastic to compare? I searched and did not find anything.

I can tell you from my experience that the plastics are not that much, if any lighter then the repop metal ones. the metal ones I bought to replace my stock chewed up plastic ones are actually very light. Do you still have your plastic ones? If you weigh one I could weigh one of my goodmark repops for you to compare to.

I do not have one laying around, I would have to remove it from the car.

Scotty,
I bought a set almost 15 years ago and that was probably one of the last sets around. Every once in a while you will see them on e-bay but if I remember correctly the last set went for close to $800. I doubt if you will find a set of NOS ones for less than that any any used ones will be junk :(

I need both, but I would take one at a time.

NPD carries repros that are pretty good, tuff to fit, but they look ok once installed
