HI Chris,
Very nice, super detail work.
Wish I had you guys patience when it comes to the finish work but when I get around a paint can,,,,,, :pout:

I really like that color on the covers & air cleaner, it looks almost anodized

And you are welcome, glad I could help a little.

The color on the valve covers and the air cleaner lid is going to be the same color I use on my SS stripes when the car gets painted. Thanks for the compliments. Been alot of hard work and time invested.

Nice!
What color is that? Candy Tangerine?

Why didn't you paint the block the same color, it would look sweet!

Aw, that color is awful.

You need to pack that baby up and send to me N/C. I'll install in my car and wear off that color. Be happy to send back to 5-10 years.

Very nice. Continued good luck!

Thanks for the compliments. Not sure what House of Kolors calls that color, I don't think its candy tangerine. Sorry about all the different pics of the air cleaner and valve covers, they we're a pic after each coat of paint. Started to paint the block the same color but figured you wouldn't see much of it once it got in the car. I think the wire holders are made by R&M, not positive, bought them from Summit. I can check through my receipt's if you want. Thanks again.

I had a lot of fun helping Chris build this 489 big block. Alot of research, time and money went into this one but the outcome was well worth it.

The paint is a "House of Color" custom mix and consisted of five coats of bronze base coat metalic, one coat of red candy and three coats of clear. My trigger finger is just starting to heal (LOL).

Here is another pic.

Thanks guys. Boy am I ready to get this baby installed. All I have to do is get work to cooperate with me. Was going to put it in this past weekend. I have to keep trying to remember that good things come to those who wait. Chris thanks for putting the specs on here for me. If plans go as I think I they will, I should be at our spring drag meet with new motor and paint on the car.

Chris,

You know the big trick now is going to be matching the stripes on the car to the paint on the engine! LOL :D
