im working on my vortec heads, and im wondering if i...
a) need stud girdles? can someone elaborate more on the purpose of this too?
and also would roller tip rocker arms work fine on a cam with around .5 lift?

or do i have to spend 240 on the summit full roller ones?

Your motor sounds on the mild side. With .5 lift stock rocker would be ok and yes roller tips would be better for higher rpm. What is your intended use for your car? Stud girdles help strengthen valve train, lessens harmonics and keeps valve lash tight, but not necessary unless alot of high rpm racing, save your money. Again alot depends on your use?

You're gonna stress your bottom end the most unless you're also going high revs too.

I'd spend the money on the bottom end and the drive train first.

I'm going on turbo experience and not nitrous though so take that with a grain of salt.
