Got 'em. Easy install, work great for my use (leveling/raising rear slightly).

Sorry, a little confusion on my part. I'm not running airbags in place of springs - I'm running air bags INSIDE of the springs - different animal than it seems you are looking at.

Not a lot - maybe 2" if I blow them up full. They are meant to even the application of downforce to the tires at the track - I just use them to level the car the way I like. ;)

I bagged me 65 which is real close to a 70 and I love it. Of course I also have a bagged mazda and a s-10 with hydraulics. Just to answer some questions slam bags are great they have less bounce to them and the stretch longer so you may get a little more lift but if they touch anything at all they will get a hole. Contitech bags get less lift but are cheaper and last longer. Firestone are cheap available all over but bounce a bit.Airride tech stuff is good but expensive. I run firestones just cause they are easy to get. The install is easy if you want about 6" of drop or to sit on the bumpstops. You can basically do the whole install without cutting anything even my exhaust still worked. I did add shocks to the front so a bit of welding but now I want to lay frameso I have some mayjor work ahead of me especially with the 20" wheels I run. I say bag it but remember its not stock there will be maintainence, it does ride different maybe better or worse thats all your opinion. It looks killer!!!!!!!!!!

Lift is about the same but 3ply will last longer. Well the only bag blowouts I have seen were from rubbage and I have been doing this for years. I guess I should add that you can't let the suspension hang by the bags (this usually only applies to the rear), limit the travel with some correct length shocks as they can tear when streched. I bet you will have some major rubbing probs with 22" rims up front. Mine with 20"sat on the wheel wells when down and rubbed when turning at most heights even stock but now I am making custom ones. Just taking them out opened up a ton of room! I can drive it with no air if I had to now. My main piece of advise is to use seperate valves on each bag! If you tee them you get allot of unsafe sway and a crappy ride. Good luck

I plan to run most of the Air Ride Technologies system in my 68, if you look at the pricing you can get JUST the hard parts (front and rear control arms, bags, shocks, heavy sway bars etc) for around $3000 instead of the $6000 they want for the whole kit. This ends up being just about the same $$ as a Hotchkis TVS system and upper and lower Global west control arms. So what I'm going to do is run some stainless 3/8" line(and air brake line where it needs to flex) and 4 Wilkerson mini regulators, with an air tank and compressor in the truck. It won't be a fancy "bouncy" car, but will do what I need to set ride heights and stiffen up left or right in the rear to straighten out launches at the track. I figure I'll be $3500 all in for a fully adjustable air suspension. I talked to a tech at Air ride tech, and he told me that people have even just run lines out with Schrader(tire) valves at the ends. Unfortunately I live in the land of 6 months of summer and then the rest is cold and snow...so I won't be able to report on the performance of this system till the spring. Brandon.
