I'm doing a disc brake conversion, and I was wondering if it's possible to change the actual bolt pattern on the chevelle so I can have a few more choices of what type of wheel to buy. I'm planning on going with the baer disc brake kit, if it matters.

Does anyone have any good sites where I can find some variety in wheels, instead of the same old-same old? Thanks.

The 5X4.75 is the most popular bolt pattern in the world, if you can't find rims you like in that bolt pattern than the wheel you want probably doesn't exist.

Exactly what I was thinking... :yes:

How do you tell what the back spacing is if it only has the offset listed?

Back Spacing is the distance from the outer edge of the wheel (back side) to the mounting pad... Offset is the measurement from the 'centerline" of the rim to the mounting pad ...

Example;
a 17X9.5" rim is actually 10.5 inches wide (overall)... Half of the width, 10.5/2= 5.25"... Therefore a 17X9.5 wheel with 5.25" Back Space is the same as a 17X9.5 Wheel with 0-offset...

I forget on "offset" which way is negative... But a BS of 5.00" would be either +6 mm or -6 mm offset (offset seems to always be metric?)
